F.O.P. to Take 60 Children Shopping

The members of the Kankakee Valley Fraternal Order of Police #129 will be holding their annual Shop with a Cop event on Sunday, Aug. 4 at Kohl’s in Valparaiso.

Members of the FOP will be helping those students who have been selected to benefit from this program. The store will open early specifically for this endeavor and students can find clothes, backpacks, shoes or any other supplies needed for the start of the new school year. The FOP will be helping 60 children in need this year.

President Chris Kisela said they will be able to spend between $100 to $125 per child this year.

The FOP is always looking for donations to help children in need in Starke County. If you would like to make a donation, you can contact Chris Kisela at the Knox City Police Department at (574) 772-4122 or drop off your donation at the police department. The more money they receive is another child they can help in the Shop with a Cop program.
