Deadline for Miss Yellowstone Pageant is Tomorrow

The deadline to enter the Miss Yellowstone Pageant is tomorrow, so if you or someone you know would like to take a shot at the crown, now is the time to put your name in the competition. Tara Parker will once again be directing the Miss Yellowstone Pageant scheduled to take place during the Yellowstone Trail Festival. The pageant, scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 17 at 11 a.m. CT, gives girls between the ages of 5 and 22 in Starke and surrounding counties the chance to participate and become Miss Yellowstone.

The entry form for the contest can be found on the festival website, www.yellowstonetrailfest.com or on their Facebook page, Yellowstone Pageant.

Four categories are available: Tiny Miss (ages 5-8), Little Miss (ages 9-12), Junior Miss (ages 13-16) and Miss (ages 17-22). Miss Yellowstone contestants must be enrolled in high school or college. The winner will advance to compete in Indiana’s State Festival Association Pageant. All winners will be featured in the Sunday parade at 2 p.m.

The tiny division is nearly full, but room is still available for girls in the Little, Junior Miss and Miss categories.

The Yellowstone Trail Fest is planned for the third week of August in the town of Hamlet, held in conjunction with the town of Hamlet’s 150 year anniversary. Several contests are planned along with exhibits, food and festival fun.
