Winamac Fireworks Show in Need of Community Support

The annual Fourth of July fireworks show held during the 4-H Fair in the Winamac Town Park is in need of community support. Normally, the Winamac Kiwanis Club ensures admission is free to the public by working with club sponsors – that is, area businesses, local organizations, and individual citizens that have stopped up to help – but last year, they had to pay out more than $4000 to ensure the annual tradition continued.

In light of that, the club is now reaching out to residents to help support the fireworks show. Costs continue to rise for fireworks and other necessities for the event, and the Kiwanis Club will soon be holding a fundraiser to support the show. On Saturday, June 15 from 11 a.m to 2 p.m. ET, members will be selling rib and chicken meals at the NAPA parking lot in Winamac.

This fundraiser is an opportunity for the community to do their part in ensuring the fireworks tradition is kept and goes a long way in cementing it as an annual event.
