Two wanted men were arrested in Marshall County after a patrolman observed the pair walking on Plum Street near Harrison Street. The officer initiated contact with the subjects, identified as Charles Derek Sanders and Anthony Porter, but Sanders immediately ran. He didn’t get too far, however, as the officer was able to chase him down and, using his taser, immediately stopped the resistance.
The officer searched the men and found multiple forms of paraphernalia, including a syringe and more than 200 tablets of a legend drug. Sanders was checked out by Plymouth EMS for minor injuries before being transported to the Marshall County Jail, facing several new felony charges.
Porter, on the other hand, was found to have an outstanding Starke County warrant and was taken into custody without incident.
The Plymouth Police Department and other officers from the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department assisted in the arrests.
