Starke County Blue Dolphins Plan to Make a Local Splash

If you enjoy swimming and want to do so competitively, the Starke County Blue Dolphins will help you make a splash. It’s an amateur competitive swimming club that focuses on technique and enjoyment of the sport. The club will be part of the USA Swim organization, which includes more than 2,800 swim clubs nationwide. Practices will take place at Knox High School in advance of the swim season, which starts in September. The season is year-round, but swimmers can come and go throughout the year as available. Swimmers must be at least five years old and able to swim at least 25 yards unassisted. All team members will have a chance to attend USA Swim sponsored meets across the country or just swim locally at inter-squad meets.

Sign-up dates are Tuesday, June 11 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the North Judson Public Library; Thursday, June 13 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Henry F. Schricker Public Library in Knox; and Saturday, June 15 at the Henry F. Schricker Public Library in Knox from 9 to 11 a.m. Call Anthony or Kelly Manning at (574) 772-0778 for more information.
