The deadline to sign up as a contestant in this year’s Little Miss and Mister Pulaski County Pageant is quickly approaching. Friday is the last day registrations will be accepted, and entry forms can be picked up at Hickory Creek at Winamac until the day they are due. Contestants must be at least 5 years old by the July 1 and no older than 8 years old, and must be a resident or semi-resident of Pulaski County.
Pageant practice is scheduled for Saturday, June 29, giving contestants a chance to learn how the pageant will be conducted and what they are expected to do prior to the main event on July 1 at 7 p.m. ET at the Pulaski County 4-H Fairground’s entertainment stage.
So far this year, only eight contestants have signed up – a fraction of the pageant’s popularity in the past, when it would bring more than 40 pageant hopefuls. Last year, more than 20 contestants signed up for the event.
The winners of the pageant will have the opportunity to ride in the parade the following evening.
