Kankakee Valley FOP Finds Success in Fundraiser

The Kankakee Valley Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #129 held a fundraiser this weekend to benefit the Shop with a Cop program in Starke County.

FOP President Chris Kisela said the fundraiser was a success. Approximately $1,300 was raised toward their $6,000 goal and the organization members are planning to be at the Mint Festival and at the Starke County 4-H Fair to collect more donations.

Kisela stated that the more money they receive the more money they can spend on children for the start of school.

They are also offering a fundraiser in which you can win two guns. Look for that opportunity at the Mint Festival and during the Starke County 4-H Fair.

All money donated goes toward the Shop with a Cop program which aides underprivileged students in Starke County get clothes and other needs for the start of the new school year.

Donations to the Fraternal Order of Police can be made at the Knox City Police Department, North Judson Police Department and the Starke County Sheriff’s Department.
