Senior Food Box Program Announced by Food Finders Food Bank

 
 
Food Finders Food Bank is announcing a new pilot program designed to provide an additional source of food for seniors. The Senior Food Box Program will provide a box of shelf-stable items and fresh produce each month for seniors who complete the registration form.

The program will take place at Pulaski County Human Services at 115 W. Pearl St. in Winamac on Tuesday, May 7 at 10 a.m. Visit the organization to complete the registration form in order to receive a monthly food box. Eligible seniors that are 60 years or older and meet 185 percent of the federal poverty guidelines are eligible to receive one food box per household.

Seniors must receive an income of less than $1772 monthly or $21,257 annually for a household of one, $2392 monthly or $28,695 annually for a two-member household, $3011 monthly or $36,131 annually for a three-person household, or $3631 monthly or $43,568 annually for a four-member household. For households larger than four, add $620 per month to the guidelines.
