Miranda Ray is This Year’s Recipient of the Ed Hasnerl/WKVI Scholarship

Miranda Ray, daughter of Carrie Ray in Knox, has been announced as the 2013 recipient of the Ed Hasnerl/WKVI Scholarship this year. The award was presented Friday at the Knox High School 2013 Academic Honors Day among many other honors and awards presented to deserving Knox graduates.

Miranda, 18, has said she plans to attend Ball State University this fall to study digital media and photography.

The Ed Hasnerl/WKVI Scholarship Award is given each year to a graduating study attending Knox, North Judson, Oregon-Davis or Culver High Schools. The recipient must live in Starke County and be likely to succeed as a college or university student in Indiana. Applicants must also have a C average or above, good citizenship, a recommendation from a faculty adviser and express an interest in the study of Communications or media-related subjects.
