Volunteers are needed to help the staff of IU Health Starke Hospital and the city of Knox in the 2013 Day of Community Service.
Volunteers will be at Wythogan Park in Knox on Friday, May 17 to expand and enhance trails and green spaces. Those participating will be meeting at Pavilion #2 and will assist in the project from noon to 4 p.m. CT.
Kent Arnsbarger, a professional percussionist, will be playing the Caribbean steel drums to keep you upbeat in your volunteer efforts.
The Day of Community Service is spearheaded by IU Health’s Strength That Cares, an employee-volunteer program.
During last year’s Day of Community Service, IU Health volunteers helped build 25 frames for Habitat for Humanity homes.
