From the Starke County Sheriff’s Department:

Incidents

05/21/13 – Ronald Desabatine of the Bass Lake Golf Course reported that a billboard sign and seven engraved granite hole markers had been stolen from the golf course sometime between May 10 and May 12.

05/22/13 – Beverly McDaniel of North Judson told police that a 2003 Harley Davidson Sportster and a moped had been stolen from her home.

05/22/13 – Lloyd Shirley of Knox reported someone had stolen a trash barrel from his home.

05/22/13 – Francis Moore of Knox said he had been contacted by someone claiming to be his son and asking for money and said it was a scam.

05/22/13 – A resident of the 8900 block of East Long Lane Drive in Knox told police that a woman refused to leave his residence and damaged his property.

05/23/13 – Elizabeth Adamik reported someone had tried to apply for a Target gift card in her name several weeks ago.

05/24/13 – A resident of the 7800 block of North Tippecanoe Drive in Walkerton told police that her 2009 black Jetta had been stolen.

05/24/13 – Samantha Williams of Walkerton reported her 2004 Grand Prix had been stolen as well as coins and a stereo from other vehicles.

05/24/13 – Two residents in Walkerton reported their vehicles had been ransacked; one was in the 7900 block of North Kramar Lane in Walkerton, the other in the 7700 block of North Kickapoo Road.

05/24/13 – A resident of the 8200 block of North Tippecanoe Drive in Walkerton reported items had been stolen from her vehicle inside her garage.

05/24/13 – A resident of the 11000 block of East Mohawk Road in Walkerton reported someone had ransacked his vehicle.

05/25/13 – A resident of the 7900 block of North Kramer Lane in Walkerton reported his vehicle had been broken into and items stolen.

05/24/13 – A resident of the 10900 block of East 100 North Street in Plymoth reported someone had broken into her shed and stolen items.

05/24/13 – Cliff Graham of Walkerton reported someone had attempted to break into his car but nothing was taken.

05/25/13 – A 2005 blue Mercury Mountaineer was reported stolen from the 8600 block of North 1200 East in Walkerton.

05/25/13 – A garage was reportedly broken into in the 8300 block of North Tippecanoe Drive in Walkerton but no items were reported stolen.

05/27/13 – Stacy Dickson of Knox told police that someone had broken the back window to her home.

Arrests

05/21/13 – John Hinds, 75 of Culver, was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated near the intersection of State Road 8 and Nicole Drive in Knox.

Incidents:
05/27/13 A caller reported a fire on top of a big pole located south of the paint ball field north of Winamac on U.S. 35. Other reports came in from travelers that the pole had burst into flames. The Winamac Fire Department and NIPSCO were called to the scene.

05/27/13 A Winamac woman reported her car stolen.

05/27/13 Another pole fire was reported on U.S. 35 south the Tippecanoe River State Park entrance. The Winamac Fire Department was called to the scene as well as Fulton County REMC.

05/27/13 A Winamac resident told police that she saw a person get into her neighbor’s car. The alarm was going off.

05/27/13 A Winamac woman reported her purse stolen from her vehicle while it was parked in her driveway.

05/27/13 A deputy with the Fulton County Sheriff’s Department requested to speak with a Pulaski County Sheriff’s deputy in reference to a stabbing. Charges were not expected to be filed.

05/26/13 An official with the Panhandle Pathway reported that three of the four barricades on the pathway were broken in half.

05/26/13 A Winamac man informed police that his wife’s purse was stolen, but it was later found. Cash was taken from the purse before the suspect(s) threw it into the river.

05/25/13 A Medaryville resident reported the theft of items out of her shed.

05/24/13 A Winamac woman reported the theft of medications. Dispatchers advised that the Sheriff’s Department doesn’t process paperwork for stolen medications.

05/24/13 A Winamac woman reported her wallet stolen while at Dollar General.

05/23/13 Deputies were asked to investigate a criminal mischief incident that occurred to a vehicle.

05/22/13 A Francesville resident reported the theft of several computers.

05/22/13 The Winamac Police Department was called to investigate an incident of theft at a home on Meridian Street.

05/21/13 A Winamac farmer reported the theft of irrigation, three chain saws and guns.

05/21/13 A Francesville resident reported the theft of anhydrous ammonia.

05/21/13 A suspicious vehicle was reported in the Winamac area. According to the caller, a woman was jogging and a man in a vehicle acted like he was going to hit her. He drove by her slowly flashing a $100 bill. The man reportedly did it twice. The same incident was reported in another part of town.

05/21/13 A Medaryville man told police that he’s watching a home for a friend and there was an act of criminal mischief at the residence.

05/20/13 A Winamac resident told police that someone spray-painted her garage in the alley. Two other residents reported the same type of criminal mischief.

Arrests:
05/26/13 Kimberly Samons, 34, of Medaryville, IN, arrested on an active bench warrant.

05/23/13 Ronald Clark, 65, of Winamac, IN, arrested on a preliminary charge of Probation Violation.

Incidents:
05/25/13 A resident in the 100 block of Silver Street reported to police that someone stole a set of keys from his residence.

05/24/13 Police responded to a property damage accident at the intersection of State Road 39 and State Road 10 East junction. A vehicle driven by Coletta D. Ford of Knox struck a deer north of the intersection. Chief Deputy Joe Budner estimated the damages over $2,500.00.

05/24/13 Police responded to a burn complaint in the 300 block of Jones Street. The resident on Keller Avenue was asked to put the fire out and advised that he can only burn non man-made items such as grass, wood and brush.

05/23/13 A resident in the 200 block of Maryland Street reported to police that she has been receiving text messages from an ex-boyfriend that she has an Order of Protection against. Officers forwarded an Invasion of Privacy report to the Starke County Prosecutor’s Office requesting charges against the male subject.

05/23/13 A resident in the 6300 block of State Road 39 told police that someone stole his garbage can. The can was located by the resident a half-mile south of his residence.

05/23/13 Police responded to a 911 hang up call in the 500 block of Vine Street. The resident wanted to report that an electrical wire in the alley was sparking. The North Judson Fire Department was dispatched and stayed until NIPSCO arrived to take care of the problem.

05/22/13 Officers were called to a unwanted guest complaint in the 500 block of High Street. The male subject was advised not to return to the residence or he would be arrested for criminal trespass.

05/22/13 A verbal argument was reported in the 600 block of Oakwood Street. The female subject involved left for the night.

05/22/13 North Judson Police assisted the Indiana State Police in the arrest of two people at a residence in the 5900 block of U Road East.

05/21/13 A resident reported a pallet of wood stolen from her property. She did not want charges filed she just wanted the pallet back. North Judson Police located the subject that took the wood and he returned it.

05/21/13 North Judson Police responded to a call of a suspicious vehicle in the 200 block of Garden Street. A female subject and a male subject were arrested on outstanding warrants.

05/21/13 North Judson Police Officer Frank Thomas arrested Brad Allen on a Pulaski County warrant for Child Support.

Cut the Grass:
The North Judson Police have issued several warnings this week to home owners who have neglected mowing the lawn. A Town Ordinance dictates that the grass must be cut that grows to four inches high. North Judson Police Chief Doug Vessely advised that the home owners will be receiving an ordinance violation citation if the grass is not cut when needed.

05/21/13 Sara N. Scutchfield, 21, 204 Garden Street, North Judson, IN, arrested on a Marshall County Warrant for Failure to Appear.

05/21/13 Casey Jo White, 20, Kingsford Heights, IN, arrested on a Porter County for Failure to Appear.

05/21/13 Brad Allen, 32, 5118 S. Driftwood Lane, North Judson, IN, arrested on a Pulaski County warrant for Child Support.

05/27/13 David Arndt told police that a roto tiller was stolen out of the bed of his pickup while parked at Richard’s of Toto.

05/24/13 A battery incident was reported at O’s Tap.

Arrests:
05/28/13 Levi Lakes, 28, of Knox, IN, arrested on preliminary charges of Dealing a Narcotic Drug, Possession of a Narcotic Drug, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana, and Maintaining a Common Nuisance.
Samantha Mullins, 22, of Knox, IN, arrested on preliminary charges of Possession of a Narcotic Drug, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana, and Maintaining a Common Nuisance.

05/27/13 Aaron Brewer, 22, 303 N. Clark St., Knox, IN, arrested on preliminary charges of Possession of a Narcotic (heroin) and Possession of a Syringe.

05/24/13 Linda Sobieck, 29, 308 E. John St., Knox, IN, arrested on preliminary charges of Battery and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
