Museum Update Given to Marshall County Commissioners

The Marshall County Library Director Linda Rippy gave the commissioners a report on museum activities.

Rippy stated that the museum is now open on Sundays from 1:00-4:00 p.m. ET and has had a steady stream of visitors. Several area volunteers are assisting with tours and greeting visitors. The Plymouth High School Key Club is also helping with many activities at the museum.

They are also preparing for a scavenger hunt that is set for Sunday afternoon.

Rippy stated that they are getting in some of the evening gowns that were worn by past Miss Plymouth winners. The pageant is no longer in existence which makes it
an even more special exhibit. Miss Ball State and Plymouth native, Nicole Rash, will be submitting her gown as part of the exhibit.

The museum staff is also looking for interesting collections to put on display. Things with some type of historical significance would be appreciated.

Rippy also reminded the commissioners that their annual meeting is set for May 22 and they were all invited to attend.
