The Indiana Department of Natural Resources is hosting a seminar and workshop on turkey hunting tips for Hoosier youths. The event, which will take place at the Kingsbury Fish and Wildlife Area, will focus on biology, calling, and hunting, with a field demonstration of calling and decoy set up.
The event is scheduled for April 6 from 5:30 a.m. CT until 11 a.m. on April 7. Participants must bring their own turkey gun and ammunition, and demonstrators will pattern the gun at the range. Because this workshop takes place outdoors, dress appropriately for outdoor weather.
Reservations for the event are required; to reserve a spot, call the Kingsbury FWA office at (219) 393-3612 before April 4. A light breakfast will be served.
The Kingsbury FWA is located at 5344 S. Hupp Road in LaPorte.
