Incidents:
02/16/13 A passerby reported to police of a possible structure fire in the 200 block of West Weninger Street. The North Judson-Wayne Township Fire Department was called to the scene and the firefighters extinguished the fire. The resident was not home at the time of the fire. The structure was a total loss. No injuries were reported. The Fire Department was called back out to the residence later in the day for a rekindle. Starke County EMS was on standby at the scene.

02/15/13 A man told police that his neighbor threatened to kill one of his horses.

02/15/13 North Judson police responded to a juvenile complaint in the 300 block of Franklin Street. The parent was advised of her options and services available.

02/15/13 A resident in the 700 block of Main Street said that she received a harassing phone call from a former acquaintance. The resident was advised that a log entry would be made of the incident.

02/14/13 A traffic stop resulted in the driver of the vehicle, Nathan Riley White, 33, of Knox, being cited for Driving while Suspended with a Prior conviction.

02/12/13 A resident in the 100 block of Arlington Avenue reported a suspicious person knocking at the door. Police arrived and located the female that was complaining of back pain, stomach pain and hearing voices. Starke County EMS was called and the female was transported to IU Health Starke Hospital.

02/12/13 A resident in the 600 block of Cherry Street told police that his wife was walking their dog on their property when a man in a vehicle pulled over on the street and started cussing at his wife. The officer arrived, but was unable to locate the vehicle.

02/11/13 A resident in the 500 block of Keller Avenue told police that his teenage daughter was receiving harassing phone calls.

Incidents:

02/11/13 – A representative with Kankakee Valley REMC told police that someone was stealing ower in the 7600 block of East 25 North in Knox.

02/11/13 – A possible domestic complaint was reported in the 600 block of Keller Avenue in North Judson.

02/11/13 – A resident of the 4400 block of East 200 South in Knox told police that a suspicious man came to her home claiming to be doing market research. A resident in the 3300 block of East State Road 10 in Knox also reported a similar incident.

02/11/13 – A man reported being harassed and threatened in the 300 block of West 250 South in Knox.

02/12/13 – Residents of the 5900 block of South 250 East reported men trying to sell items door-to-door in a suspicious manner.

02/14/13 – Mike Marsh of Knox told police that someone had caused damage to a window on his property.

02/15/13 – Jennifer Miller with the Department of Child Services told police that a 15-year-old female had sex with an adult male and is now pregnant.

02/15/13 – A resident of the 11800 block of East State Road 8 in Knox told police that someone has been using her credit card fraudulently.

02/15/13 – A resident of the 600 block of East Pearl Street in Medaryville reported that someone had taken his vehicle without his permission from Hauser’s Towing.

02/15/13 – Rebecca Griffith of North Judson told police that someone had been throwing objects at vehicles and damaged her car. Another North Judson resident reported a similar incident.

02/15/13 – A resident of the 8900 block of South 100 East in North Judson reported a theft had occurred at his home.

02/16/13 – A break-in was reported in the 8900 block of South 100 East in North Judson.

02/16/13 – A resident of the 3700 block of South 500 East in Knox told police that her brother has threatened to run her house over with a vehicle.

Arrests:

02/12/13 – Robin A. Husmann, 48 of Grovertown, was arrested on charges of Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated.

02/15/13 – Timothy J. Barnette, 44 of Knox, was arrested on charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance.

02/17/13 A Winamac business asked for extra patrol at their location as trash cans are being dumped over nightly.

02/17/13 The Winamac Police Department were called to an alleged battery incident. No arrests were made.

02/17/13 The Star City Fire Department was called to a trash bin fire at the Roudebush Company.

02/16/13 The Winamac Police Department was notified of a possible reckless driver on U.S. 35.

02/16/13 A resident on U.S. Hwy 421 in Medaryville reported the theft of 200 gallons of fuel out of his semi tractor and cut a hole in the tarp on his trailer.

02/16/13 The Winamac Police Department responded to two separate alleged battery incidents.

02/15/13 The Medaryville Police Department responded to a burglary incident in the 5000 N. block of 700 West.

02/14/13 Store owners at Twice as Nice called police to report an alleged theft.

02/14/13 A subject who was released from the jail was seen laying in a ditch. When questioned, the man said he was just waiting for a ride.

02/13/13 Winamac residents told police that two people with dogs were out walking and shining lights on their houses.

02/13/13 The theft of an iPad was reported to Winamac police.

02/13/13 A scam was reported to police. The caller told the resident that he was the winner of $1 million, but needed to send $1,500 in order to receive it. No transaction was made, but the resident called police to report it. IT IS A SCAM.

02/11/13 A caller advised dispatch that some unknown person(s) shot out the windows in his farm machinery.

02/11/13 A Star City woman reported the theft of money from her home.

02/18/13 Michael Baggerly, 37, of Demotte, IN, arrested on preliminary charges of Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Methamphetamine and Trafficking with an Inmate.

02/18/13 George Kruizenga, 52, of Culver, IN, arrested on a preliminary charge of Possession of Marijuana.

02/18/13 Charles Cramner, 20, of Winamac, IN, arrested on an active arrest warrant.

02/17/13 Billie Matthews, 40, of Fair Oaks, IN, arrested on a bench warrant.

02/14/13 Dalton Campbell, 20, of North Judson, IN, arrested on a preliminary charge of Theft.

02/13/13 David Mattes, 58, of Knox, IN, arrested on a probation violation.

02/12/13 Gregory Dallas, 36, of Winamac, IN, arrested on an active Porter County Warrant and a preliminary charge of Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated.

02/12/13 Emily Allen, 21, of Francesville, IN, arrested on a preliminary charge of Possession of Precursors.

02/11/13 Jayson Shaffer, 20, of Leitersford, IN, arrested on Possession of a Switchblade, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Paraphernalia and Visiting a Common Nuisance. He is being held on a $50,000 cash bond.
Sara Cox, 21, of Culver, IN, arrested on preliminary charges of Possession of Methamphetamine, Visiting a Common Nuisance, Possession of Controlled Substance, and Possession of Paraphernalia. She is being held on a $50,000 cash bond.
Kelcie Miller, 21, of Winamac, IN, arrested on preliminary charges of Possession of Methamphetmine, Possession of Controlled Substance, Possession of Paraphernalia and Visiting a Common Nuisance. She is being held on a $50,000 cash bond.
Douglas Whiteman, Jr., 27, of Winamac, IN, arrested on preliminary charges of Possession of Methamphetamine, Visiting a Common Nuisance, Possession of Paraphernalia, and Possession of a Controlled Substance. He is being held on a $100,000 cash bond.

Incidents:
02/18/13 Items that were previously stolen form a home on Main Street have reportedly been recovered.

02/16/13 Jeremy Miller told police that some unknown person(s) cut the tires on his vehicle.

02/16/13 Andy Odle, the instructor of the SCILL Center’s welding class in Knox, told police that test plates and two 50 pound spools of welding wires were stolen. Police continue to investigate this incident.

02/15/13 Zach Whitfield reported a hit and run. The day before, he noticed a white vehicle performing a U-turn close to where his vehicle was parked and didn’t think the person hit it, but when he looked at his vehicle the day of the report, he noticed damage to the rear passenger side of the vehicle.

02/15/13 Calvin Rudd told police that he owns two property lots and two small “for sale” signs were found ripped in half on the property.

02/15/13 Matthew Day reported the theft of a license plate. Police had pulled him over for having the wrong license plate on his vehicle and was taken to the jail. He filed a report that another license plate was placed on his vehicle rather than the plate that is registered to his vehicle.

02/13/13 Kylie F. Feltney was cited for Driving While Suspended-Prior.

02/16/13 Patirinia Hall, 31, 728 N. Hathaway St., Winamac, IN, arrested on a preliminary charge of Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated.

02/13/13 William King, Sr., 44, 301 Danker Street, Knox, IN, arrested on an active arrest warrant.
