Winamac Man Arrested on Warrant, Drug Charges

A Winamac man was arrested Thursday after Pulaski County police found that he was wanted out of Tennessee.

While on patrol, a deputy with the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department ran a license plate on his on-board computer in his squad car and it indicated that the vehicle’s owner, 32-year-old Justin Dehnhart, was wanted out of Tennessee for drug offenses.

A traffic stop was initiated and the officer reportedly saw a pipe used for smoking marijuana in plain view. After further investigation, a tin was found that contained marijuana and a second pipe.

Dehnhart was arrested and taken to the Pulaski County Jail on the active arrest warrant and he was booked on preliminary charges of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of a Controlled Substance (Marijuana).
