Pulaski Memorial Hospital CEO Retires

Richard Mynark

After 28 years, the CEO of Pulaski Memorial Hospital has retired. Richard H. Mynark retired Friday.

Mynark was instrumental in planning, developing and implementing the hospital’s critically needed facility renovation and modernization project in February 1985. The new front addition was finally complete in 2003.

In 2000, Mynark was involved in aggressively pursuing Critical Access Hospital status as the hospital was at serious risk due to reimbursement shortfalls under Medicare’s prospective payment system. Pulaski Memorial Hospital was one of the first hospitals in the state to successfully achieve this goal. This resulted in Medicare reimbursements which have allowed PMH to continue to provide medical and surgical services to the citizens of Pulaski County.

He also helped open the Winamac Specialists Clinic.

Mynark proudly volunteers with several community organizations and he hopes to stay active in the community. Richard Mynark will continue to reside in Winamac in his retirement and successfully complete several items on his retirement list.
