Police Reports are simply a record that an arrest has been made and are not an indication of guilt or innocence.

From the Knox City Police Department:

Incidents:
01/20/13 A personal injury accident is being investigated by the police department.

01/19/13 A fraud incident was reported and police are looking into the incident.

01/17/13 Victoria Powell, 22, 307 S. Heaton St., Knox, IN, cited for Operator Never Licensed.

01/16/13 A Pomeranian had to be put to sleep after receiving injuries in an attack. Two pit bull dogs reportedly viciously attacked it. The owner was told that the pit bull was being impounded and was given a citation for owning a vicious dog.

01/15/13 Knox police were notified of a woman having a seizure in the Henry F. Schricker Public Library and that the woman was in possession of a handgun. Officers confiscated the weapon. They later found that she had a permit to carry a handgun and it would be given back to her when she was released from the hospital.

01/15/13 Floyd Reed told police that some unknown person(s) struck and damaged a fence belonging to him. The suspect(s) also reportedly went through his back yard and struck a tree stump. The driver did not report the incident to Reed or law enforcement.

Several harassment cases were investigated.

01/19/13 Eric Wireman, 23, 101 N. Main St., Knox, IN, arrested on preliminary charges of Possession of Stolen Property, False Informing and two active arrest warrants.
Tiffany Woodard/Wireman, 22, 101 N. Main St., Knox, IN, arrested on a preliminary charge of Escape from Home Detention.

01/19/13 Kimmala Schlink, 43, no address given, arrested on an active arrest warrant.

01/18/13 Robert Deming, 34, 604 S. Main St., Knox, IN, arrested on an active arrest warrant.

01/17/13 Franklin Risner, 22, 3480 S. 200 E., Knox, IN, arrested on a preliminary charge of Possession of Marijuana.

01/15/13 Sherry Wireman, 50, 2885 E. 150 S., Knox, IN, arrested on preliminary charges of Illegal Drug Lab, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of a Syringe and Possession of Paraphernalia.

01/22/13 Two car vs deer accidents were reported to Pulaski County police.

01/22/13 The Amazing Grace Fellowship Church reported damage to two windows.

01/21/13 The Winamac Fire Department was called to a house fire at 411 S. Main Street.

01/21/13 Police officers from the Winamac Police Department were called out to take a theft report.

01/20/13 A Star City man reported that his son’s truck tires were slashed and things were dumped around the residence.

01/20/13 A Winamac man told police that he hit a road sign by his residence.

01/20/13 A structure fire was reported in Kewanna and the Medaryville Fire Department was called to assist.

01/20/13 A pickup truck was reported stolen.

01/19/13 A Star City woman told police that her son was playing outside and the neighbor kids attacked him and stole his bike.

01/19/13 A Winamac man reported a break-in in his camper and outbuildings.

01/19/13 An unknown driver hit a mailbox on 800 West in Winamac.

01/18/13 A Medaryville woman told police that her car was stolen.

01/18/13 A Winamac woman reported the theft of her brother’s coin collection.

01/18/13 A man called police and said kids threw signs at him.

01/18/13 The Star City Fire Department was called to a chimney fire on 950 South.

01/17/13 Hometown Auto Sales called police to take a vandalism report. Damage was done to one of the cars on the lot.

01/17/13 The Winamac Police Department was called to a report of a vehicle break-in.

01/16/13 Good Oil Company reported a person drove from the facility without paying for gas.

01/18/13 Travis Tuttle, 33, of Star City, IN, arrested on preliminary charges of Habitual Traffic Violator-Lifetime and Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated. W/R out

01/18/13 Robert Deming, 34, of Knox, IN, arrested on an active arrest warrant.

01/17/13 Omas Fletcher, 49, of Grovertown, IN, arrested on a probation violation.

01/16/13 Melissa Gainer, 40, of Winamac, IN, arrested on preliminary charges of Dealing in a Schedule II Controlled Substance, Trafficking with an Inmate, Possession of Paraphernalia, Possession of a Syringe, and Possession of a Controlled Substance.

01/15/13 Cecil Martin, 48, of Medaryville, IN, arrested on a preliminary charge of Failure to Register as a Sex Offender.

01/15/13 Benny Giselbach, 34, of Ora, IN, arrested on an active arrest warrant.

North Judson Police Department

From the North Judson Police Department:

Incidents:
01/19/13 North Judson Police Chief Deputy Joe Budner responded to a property damage accident in the parking lot of Family Express. A vehicle driven by Sherry Boisvert was backing out of a parking space. At the same time, a vehicle driven by Kerry Rust was pulling into a parking space. The vehicles collided. Chief Deputy Joe Budner, estimated the damages over $1,000.00.

01/17/13 An officer performed a traffic stop on a speeding vehicle in the 300 block of W. Talmer Avenue. The driver of the vehicle, Mitchell R. Williams, 48, of North Judson, was found to be driving on a suspended driver’s license. Williams was issued an Information and Summons to appear in Knox City Court.

01/17/13 North Judson Police Officer Darren Conley responded to a vehicle in a ditch on State Road 10 east of Oakwood Street. The vehicle was partially submerged in water. The driver of the vehicle Amy L. Hawk, 31, of Huntingberg, Indiana, was arrested on a preliminary charge of Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated, Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated, and Possession of a Controlled substance.

01/15/13 Police responded to the 100 block of Lane Street in reference to a stray dog. The dog was located and transported to the Starke County Humane Society.

01/15/13 The North Judson Police Department responded to a reckless driving complaint on State Road 10 East of U.S. Hwy 421. The officer checked the area and was unable to locate the vehicle.

01/15/13 North Judson Police Officer Frank Thomas conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic infraction. After a brief investigation, one of the passengers in the vehicle was found to be wanted. David S. Miller, 45, of North Judson, was arrested on a Knox City Court Warrant for Failure to Appear.

01/14/13 A resident in the 600 block of E. Arlington Avenue reported to North Judson Police that a known acquaintance stole her identity. All of the crimes took place in South Bend, Indiana. She was advised to contact the South Bend Police Department to file a report.

01/14/13 A resident in the 200 block of Hancock Street requested assistance from the North Judson Police Department in reference to their elderly family dog has become very aggressive. North Judson Police Officer Frank Thomas responded and assisted the resident in placing the dog in the resident’s vehicle to be transported to a veterinarian.

01/13/13 North Judson police responded to a single vehicle traffic accident at State Road 10 and 300 West. North Judson Police Chief Doug Vessely arrived at the scene and observed a gray Ford Ranger on its passenger side in the ditch facing west. After a brief investigation, the driver of the vehicle, Julia A. Joseph, 40, was found to be intoxicated. The passenger and owner of the vehicle, Dwayne K. Frasure was also intoxicated. Both subjects refused medical attention at the scene. Julia A. Joseph was arrested on a preliminary charge of Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated and Dwayne K. Frasure was arrested on a preliminary charge of Public Intoxication. Chief Vessely estimated the damage to the vehicle over $1000.00.The North Judson Police Department was assisted by Starke county EMS and the North Judson-Wayne Township Fire Department.

01/17/13 Mitchell R. Williams, 48, of North Judson, IN, was arrested on a preliminary charge of Driving While Suspended-Prior.

01/17/13 Amy L. Hawk, 31, of Huntingberg, IN, was arrested on a preliminary charge of Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated, Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated, and Possession of a Controlled Substance.

01/16/13 Rafael Godoy, 34, 310 Vine Street, North Judson, IN, was arrested on two Starke County warrants for Criminal Recklessness and a Serious Violent Felon in Possession of a Firearm from a previous North Judson case.

01/15/13 David S. Miller, 45, North Judson, IN, was arrested for a Warrant For Failure to Appear.

01/13/13 Julia A. Joseph, 40, 4560 South 300 East, Knox, IN, was arrested on a preliminary charge of Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated.

01/13/13 Dwayne K. Frasure, 48, 1770 West 450 South, North Judson, IN, arrested on preliminary charges of Public Intoxication and Intimidation.

From the Starke County Sheriff’s Department:

Incidents:

01/15/13 – A resident of the 2500 block of East Toto Road in Knox told police that a female subject was destroying items and attacking her.

01/16/13 – A burglary was reported in the 3900 block of North State Road 23 in Grovertown. Items were stolen including debit cards, credit cards, a checkbook, jewelry, championship ring, and other items.

01/17/13 – A resident of the 1900 block of East State Road 10 in Knox reported someone had broken into the Blue Treasurers Store and vandalized the business.

01/18/13 – A syringe was located on the ground near a gas pump at the gas station on State Road 10 by Bass Lake.

01/18/13 – A vehicle was reportedly damaged at the Bailey’s Discount Center in North Judson.

01/19/13 – An unknown subject reportedly stolen irrigation equipment from a residence on U.S. 30 in Grovertown.

01/20/13 – A resident of the 2800 block of North State Road 23 in Grovertown told police that someone had tried to steal her farm truck from their driveway and ripped out the wires from her dashboard.

01/20/13 – A battery incident was reported at the Knox bowling alley.

Arrests:

01/15/13 – Kane Allen Wilson, 28 of Knox was arrested for Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Paraphernalia.

01/19/13 – Patrina Diana Hall, 30 of Melrose Park, was arrested for Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated after she reportedly drove up on a curb and almost hit a street sign.

01/20/13 – Jeremy D. Brody, 37 of North Judson was arrested on charges of Aggravated Battery of a Child.

01/21/13 – Amy L. Cooke, 31 of Plymouth, was arrested on drug charges following a traffic stop east of U.S. 35 on Toto Road.
