A LaPorte man was arrested after allegedly robbing a liquor store.
LaPorte Police officers were called to Bottle Shop Too on Lincolnway in LaPorte in response to a robbery. According to witnesses, a man reportedly demanded money, displayed a handgun and left the establishment with an undetermined amount of money.
Police reviewed the surveillance footage, statements were taken and evidence was collected from the scene. Their investigation led them to the identity of the suspect and his location.
Terry A. West, 37, was arrested after police learned that he was at a motel in Michigan City and Michigan City police took him into custody.
West, of LaPorte, has a preliminary charge of Robbery, a Class B Felony, and additional charges could be filed. The case has been forwarded to the LaPorte County Prosecutor’s Office for further review.
