Pulaski Memorial Hospital Restricts Visitation Due to Spread of Flu

A significant number of people have come down with the flu, and some places are taking steps to prevent the sickness from spreading. Due to the high number of flu cases in the area, Pulaski Memorial Hospital has announced that in an effort to protect their patients, staff, and visitors, the hospital will be temporarily limiting visitation.

New restrictions on visitation at Pulaski Memorial Hospital prohibit children under 18 from visiting unless they’re visiting a parent, and only two visitors are allowed to see a patient at a time. Visitors who show flu-like symptoms or have been diagnosed with the flu within the past week will not be permitted unless they are seeking treatment.

Additionally, patients displaying flu symptoms will be asked to wear a mask and wash their hands or use alcohol gel immediately. They will also be asked to wait in a special area designated for patients with flu-like symptoms.
