A band of moderate to heavy snow is expected along with snowfall accumulations of two to five inches. Officials say the winds associated with this system will be a major concern as they anticipate sustained winds of 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph. Winds will whip snow around, causing visibility concerns and difficult travel conditions.
If you’ll be driving, make sure you allow yourself extra time to reach your destination. Drive safely, slow down, and increase the following distance between yourself and the car in front of you. Minor wind damage and power outages may occur.
