North Judson Man Pleads Guilty to Battery Charge

A North Judson man was sentenced in Pulaski Circuit Court after pleading guilty to a an amended charge of Battery Resulting in Bodily Injury as a Class A Misdemeanor. The charge was originally filed as a Class C Felony.

Robert Adam Allen was sentenced to serve 12 months in the Pulaski County Jail. He will serve that sentence consecutively to another cause on which he is serving time. The sentence may be served on Starke County Home Detention for 60 actual days without good time credit. Allen was also placed on probation for 10 months.

Allen was also ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $880.85 to Pulaski Memorial Hospital.

Allen was arrested on Tuesday, March 20th after he battered a Winamac man. Two people were arrested in the incident. The pair had beat the man with a shovel, and they also punched him and kicked him.
