Halloween is next Wednesday, Oct. 31. For a complete list of trick-or-treat hours, click here.
Keep in mind that kids will be out in costumes next week and you are asked to be careful driving along city streets during trick-or-treat hours. Don’t talk on your cell phone to subtract distractions while on the road and watch for children who may dart into the street.
Children should stay on sidewalks and always cross at crosswalks. Carry a flashlight after dark to easily see and be seen.
When purchasing a Halloween costume, be sure the label says “flame resistant”. Homeowners should have the outdoor light on and children should only visit homes that are familiar. Parents should inspect candy before it is consumed.
For those who are concerned about those who live around the community, a sex offender registry is available online at icrimewatch.net.
