Incidents:
09/09/12 North Judson Police Officer Todd Keen performed a traffic stop on a vehicle for disregarding a stop sign. The driver of the vehicle, Sarah J. McDaniel, 30, of North Judson, did not have a valid driver license. Officer Keen issued a citation and completed a report charging her for Driving While Suspended-Prior. The report was forwarded to the Starke County Prosecutor’s Office.

09/08/12 The North Judson Police Department investigated a report of a possible intoxicated driver near the intersection of Arlington Avenue and Railroad Street. Officer Darren Conley arrived and observed a motorcycle laying in the grass and the driver leaned up against a vehicle. After a brief investigation, Earl T. Leinbach, 50, of Hamlet, was arrested on a preliminary charge of Operating a Vehicle while Intoxicated.

09/07/12 An employee at a gas station reported a drive-off of $50.00. This incident is still being investigated.

09/06/12 A resident in the 200 block of W. Weninger Street reported to the North Judson Police Department that she is receiving harassing phone calls. A report was taken.

09/05/12 The North Judson Police Department responded to a domestic complaint in the 200 block of Lane Street. After a brief investigation, it was found to be a verbal argument. Both parties involved went their separate ways.

09/05/12 A business in the 400 block of E. Talmer Avenue reported to the North Judson Police Department that there was a stray dog on the property. The officer checked the area, but was unable to locate the dog.

09/09/12 Sarah J. McDaniel, 30, of North Judson, IN, was long-formed for Driving While Suspended-Prior.

09/08/12 Earl T. Leinbach, 50, of Hamlet, IN, arrested on a preliminary charge of Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated.

Incidents:
09/09/12 A Winamac woman called police to report that a man stole her puppy after her other dog reportedly killed his dog. After a while, the puppy was returned to the owner.

09/09/12 An accident was reported on U.S 421 and State Road 114 in Winamac. Injuries did occur and all subjects were taken to the Jasper County Hospital.

09/09/12 A Medaryville woman called police and reported two suspicious men at her rental property. Two men were in a black van with a white cargo trailer and they told her they were hired to weatherize the house and they were allowed to take whatever was left inside the foreclosed property. They provided telephone numbers for the person(s) who gave them permission and when they were called, the person had no idea what she was talking about. The men returned the items taken from the home and left.

09/09/12 A Medaryville man called police to report that some kids in a smaller pickup bashed in his neighbor’s mailbox. Another report of the same activity was called in from another Medaryville resident 10 minutes later.

09/08/12 An employee with the Good Oil Company in Winamac reported a drive-off of $40.

09/08/12 A Winamac woman reported a hit-and-run accident. She told police that the vehicle swerved into her car, hit it and then left.

09/07/12 A Winamac man said he was being chased by a neighbor in a pickup. He told police that the person had tried to run him off the road a couple of times.

09/07/12 A Winamac man said his neighbor let his horses out .

09/07/12 An older man was reportedly dumping trash into a business dumpster and when he was told he couldn’t do that, the older man threatened the employee. The man was issued a no trespass warning.

09/07/12 A vehicle was reported stolen by a man living in Winamac. Police are investigating the issue.

09/06/12 A Medaryville woman reported mailbox damage.

09/06/12 A Medaryville man called police when he noticed damage to his car. Police arrived and noted that it appeared his vehicle was hit by a baseball bat.

09/06/12 The County Highway Superintendent told officers that some unknown person(s) broke out the window on the county oil truck.

09/06/12 Officers responded to a car vs dump truck accident at State Road 39 and State Road 14. The dump truck had rolled onto its side. All drivers and passengers were ok.

09/06/12 A Medaryville woman told police that things keep coming up missing from her residence. She wants to talk to an officer about putting up a wire around her property that will shock people who try and come onto her property. She has boxes missing from her closet and some medication has gone missing.

09/05/12 Police are investigating an incident where a car was damaged with a brick. The suspect(s) also spray-painted words in the complaintant’s grass.

09/05/12 Officers were called to a residence in Monterey where a landlord found drugs at a rental property.

09/04/12 A Winamac woman told police that she had items stolen from her in the past two weeks. Two crossbows, some Harley Davidson items and other things are missing from her residence.

09/04/12 A Winamac man reported the theft of scrap metal from his property.

09/04/12 A Winamac man called police to report that some unknown person(s) threw a brick at his vehicle.

09/06/12 James Pappas, 55, 168 Moorland, Valparaiso, IN, arrested on an active arrest warrant. Discharged 09/07/12

09/05/12 Lawrence Minarik, 30, no address given, arrested on a preliminary charge of Invasion of Privacy.

09/04/12 Jennifer Risner Collins, 33, 4240 W. 400 N., Winamac, IN, arrested on a preliminary charge of Battery. Discharged 09/06/12

09/09/12 Misty Masteron was parked in the east parking lot of the Knox High School while attending a Pop Warner football game and when she returned to her car, she noticed damage on the passenger side of the vehicle.

09/07/12 Tamara Trenner reported her purse stolen.

09/07/12 Joseph Romenzak called police to report a burglary and theft. Some unknown person(s) stole a checkbook, a DVD player and other items.

09/08/12 Matthew LaMarr, 33, 305 S. Pearl St., #4, Knox, IN, arrested on preliminary charges of Domestic Battery, Possession of a Controlled Substance and Habitual Substance Offender.

09/05/12 Dawn Vanna, 46, 208 S. Main St., Knox, IN, arrested on two counts of Battery.

09/03/12 – A resident of the 8900 block of South Sycamore Street in Monterey reported that he had heard his house was broken into and being used to manufacture methamphetamine.

09/03/12 – A resident of the 9800 block of East 700 North in Walkerton reported he was being harassed over the phone.

09/03/12 – Extra patrol was requested around Richard’s of Toto due to problems with juveniles.

09/03/12 – A resident of the 5100 block of East 500 South in Knox told police that an intoxicated man was outside in the area, yelling about killing his kids.

09/04/12 – A driver near the intersection of State Road 10 and U.S. 35 reported her vehicle had been hit by a bottle thrown from a tan Dodge 4×4.

09/04/12 – Julie Joseph of Knox told police that someone had entered her father’s residence and stole titles to vehicles and other items while he was in the hospital.

09/04/12 – A resident of the 2400 block of East 400 South in Knox told police that someone had stolen a safe from his home.

09/05/12 – Theresa Keckler of Grovertown reported she had been scammed by a fraudulent Craigslist ad.

09/05/12 – A hit and run was reported at the entrance of Save-a-Lot in Knox.

09/06/12 – The Sheriff’s Department’s speed sign was reportedly flipped upside down and both tires were flattened near the Bass Lake Beach.

09/06/12 – Ron Pippenger of Walkerton told police that a residence he had been renting out was destroyed by its occupants.

09/06/12 – Melissa Jordan of Knox told police that someone had stolen a dozen pills of her husband’s pain medication.

09/06/12 – A caller from the 8200 block of North Tippecanoe Drive in Walkerton told police that his renters had left the house trashed and he detects a strange odor throughout the home.

09/06/12 – A fight was reported in the 2600 block of East Tribue Drive in Knox.

09/07/12 – A resident of the 7300 block of South 250 West in North Judson reported someone had stolen his trash can and the trash within.

09/07/12 – A resident of the 7600 block of East 25 North in Knox told police that someone had stolen an Xbox from her residence.

09/07/12 – A Knox woman told police that she received a scam phone call from someone claiming to be with the FBI.

09/08/12 – Linda Howard of Monterey reported someone had busted out the windows on her vehicle.

09/08/12 – A resident of the 2600 block of South 350 East in Knox told police that someone had stolen items from his shed.

09/09/12 – A resident of the 5700 block of South 900 East in Monterey told police that someone had broken into his semi and stolen his credit cards and money.

09/09/12 – A caller reported Zrod and Customs Shop was broken into.

09/09/12 – A caller told police that juveniles in a brown Ford truck were trying to smash mailboxes in the area of 550 East and 250 South in Knox.

09/09/12 – A resident of the 900 block of South 1025 East in Knox told police that someone had called him and told him they were on their way to beat him and his wife up.

09/09/12 – A resident of the 900 block of South 1025 East in Knox reported his home had been broken into and his belongings were missing.

09/10/12 – A resident of the 300 block of West 600 North in Hamlet told police that her neighbor had run subjects off the property who had been attempting to take scrap metal from the property.

09/10/12 – A resident of the 10800 block of East Iroquois Road in Walkerton reported that someone had broken into their truck and stolen items.
