Blood Drive Planned At Knox Elementary

Students at many high schools and colleges are giving the gift of life this fall.

Every year, students nationwide join the American Red Cross to give blood and sponsor blood drives. High schools and colleges sponsor about 19 percent of Red Cross blood drives in Indiana, Michigan and Ohio and gather 30 percent of donations in the same areas.

There is an upcoming blood drive at Knox Elementary School. On Wednesday, Oct. 3, from 12:30–6:30 p.m. CT, you can give the gift of life. This blood drive is sponsored by the Pint Size Heroes of Knox Elementary School.

To schedule an appointment, call 1-800-RED CROSS or visit redcrossblood.org for more information. Walk-ins will also be accepted. You will be required to show your Red Cross blood donor card or other form of positive ID when you donate. This blood drive is open to students and the general public.
