A 2003 Plymouth High graduate finished first at the U.S. Olympic Trials Sunday night in Eugene, Oregon in the 1,500 meter run meaning she’s headed to the Olympics for the first time. It’s believed Morgan Uceny is the first Plymouth native to make the U.S. Olympic team.

Uceny is ranked #1 in the world in the 1,500 meter run. She won Sunday’s race with a time of four minutes and 59 seconds. Now she heads to the Olympics as the favorite to win gold.
