North Judson To Conduct Hydrant Flushing

North Judson Town Board

North Judson Clerk-Treasurer Donna Henry wants to remind citizens of North Judson that the town will be flushing hydrants on the nights of May 13 and 14, so residents should keep in mind to run their water to ensure there is no rust in the line. Henry says if you’re doing a load of laundry, run an empty cycle first to avoid any rust in the wash.

Henry says the town of North Judson also received some extra EDIT funds from Starke County Auditor Kay Chaffins in the amount of $13,641.96. Those funds were put in the EDIT fund, where disbursement funds from the auditor are usually placed – but the Indiana Association of Cities and Towns recommended those funds be placed in the town’s Rainy Day Fund as soon as possible to prevent the money being spent. IACT says the possibility exists that the state could ask for those funds back, and encouraged the town not to spend them, but rather to set them aside just in case.
