Incidents:
04/01/12 Pulaski County police were involved in a pursuit incident. The suspect vehicle crashed at the intersection of 400 E. and 400 S. in the county. Two people were arrested as a result of the investigation.

04/01/12 A resident in the Cass County area told police that he was mushroom hunting and found what appears to be waste from a meth lab. Indiana State Police officials were contacted to help clean up the scene.

04/01/12 A Winamac business reported a $45 drive off in gas, but the person later came in to pay for it.

03/31/12 A Franklin Township resident told police that she just got back from vacation and their garage door was kicked in. The caller wasn’t sure if anything was missing.

03/30/12 A rollover accident was reported with no entrapment. The State Highway traffic light was taken out in the process and stop signs were put a the intersection for traffic control.

03/30/12 A Monterey man told police that he and his wife are getting divorced and when he went to go and check on his house, he found that some unknown person(s) were living in it and were doing drugs.

03/30/12 A Medaryville business reported a shoplifting incident.

03/30/12 The Winamac Fire Department was called to a brush and tree fire in the Jefferson Township area. The caller who advised police of the fire added that it is about 25 yards away from a trailer.

03/30/12 A Francesville resident reported that her daughter stole her car. The vehicle was located, but no charges will be filed.

03/29/12 A caller in the Franklin Township area reported the theft of a laptop computer.

03/29/12 A Monon resident called police to report the theft of five vehicles and other property.

03/28/12 A Winamac resident reported graffiti on a building.

03/28/12 A hit and run accident was reported in the Town of Winamac. The front end of the complaintant’s vehicle was damaged and more than $1,000 in damage was sustained. Police determined that the damage was done by a trailer hitch.

03/28/12 Criminal mischief was reported at the Star City West Cemetery.

03/28/12 Pulaski County and Starke County firefighters were called to a fire in a ditch and no one was around the fire. The incident is under investigation.

03/31/12 Jesus A. Maldonado, 20, 818 Falvey St., Winamac, IN, arrested on preliminary charges of Possession of Marijuana and Public Intoxication. Discharged 04/01/12

03/31/12 Justin Manning, 23, 808 W. Beechwood, Muncie, IN, arrested on preliminary charges of Public Intoxication, Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor and Possession of Marijuana. Discharged 04/01/12

03/30/12 Jacob Bradley, 28, 6225 W. 800 S., Winamac, IN, arrested on preliminary charges of Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated. Discharged 03/31/12

03/30/12 Matthew Mose, 49, 6254 W. 100 S., Winamac, IN, arrested on a preliminary charge of Disorderly Conduct. Discharged 03/30/12

03/30/12 Debbie Mitchell, 48, 732 N. Hathaway, Winamac, IN, arrested on a preliminary charge of Disorderly Conduct. Discharged 03/30/12

03/27/12 Ralph Neeley, 60, 1124 W. 200 S., Francesville, IN, arrested on a preliminary charge of Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated. Discharged 03/28/12

North Judson Police Department

From the North Judson Police Department:

Incidents:
03/31/12 Another report was made to the North Judson Police in regards to a stereo being stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 100 block of State Street. This remains under investigation.

03/31/12 An incident involving several juveniles and an adult female was reported to the North Judson Police. Several charges were requested through Starke County Probation and the Prosecutor’s Office for three juveniles and one adult. The charges include Criminal Mischief, Harassment, and Intimidation.

03/30/12 The North Judson Police took a report of a missing firearm that was later located in the 100 block of Sycamore Avenue.

03/29/12 The North Judson Police responded to the Starke County Humane Society to assist the Starke County Sheriff in an incident and dispute at the shelter.

03/28/12 The North Judson Police investigated a report of a theft of a stereo and speakers from an unlocked vehicle in the 500 block of Laurel Street.

03/27/12 A report of the telephone box being tampered with and some yard items missing was taken by the North Judson Police in the 200 block of Garden Street.

From the Knox City Police Department:

Incidents:
04/01/12 Police were dispatched to IU Health Starke Hospital for a call about a three-year-old that was bitten by a dog in the face.

03/31/12 Ron Singleton reported damage to his vehicle. Some unknown person(s) keyed the front driver’s side fender to the back driver’s side door. The incident occurred while he was parked in front of the Knox Moose Family Center.

03/27/12 Police were dispatched to CVS on a report of an attemtped break-in. Police noted that when the staff arrived at work, they found damage to the glass on the drive-thru window at the pharmacy. Police found that the glass was thick break-resistant glass and it appeared that the suspect(s) attempted to smash the window but was unsuccessful. There was minimal damage to the glass, but it did not break.

03/30/12 Keith E. Ziaja, 24, 5020 S. 750 E., Knox, IN, arrested on preliminary charges of Operating a Vehicle Dangerously While Intoxicated, Operating a Vehicle with at least a. 15 BAC, and Operating a Vehicle with a Controlled Substance in the Body.

03/28/12 Matthew Hamilton, 302 E. Riverside Dr., Knox, IN, arrested on preliminary charges of Possession of Meth within 1,000 feet of a Family Housing Complex, Reckless Possession of Paraphernalia and four active arrest warrants.

03/28/12 Lolus Jackson, 51, 301 E. Danker St., Knox, IN, arrested on preliminary charges of Theft, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of a Controlled Substance.

03/26/12 Austin Salyer, 3120 E.. 200 S., Knox, IN, arrested on a preliminary charge of Battery and Criminal Mischief.
