Tessa J. Haney and her two year old daughter, Jocelyn, were saved by Knox City Police Officer, Chad Dulin, and Knox-Center Township Firefighter, Wayne Noah, after they helped them from their overturned car that had crashed into a deep ditch filled with water on State Road 8.
The Family Dollar store in Culver was robbed at gunpoint late Saturday night. The Culver Police Department continues to search for the suspect.
Nancy Dembowski has decided to end her 26 year political career. The Democrat State Representative has also been the Mayor of Knox, a County Councilwoman and a State Senator.
Sasha Glover and Colleen Henry of Knox were arrested Monday night after they were allegedly trying to steal merchandise from Walmart in Plymouth. They both face charges of Theft and Henry has additional preliminary charges of Neglect of a Dependent and False Informing.
Ryan Loehmer, Cory Caudill and Brenan Sanchez of Culver were arrested in Plymouth Monday night after police reportedly found heroin, marijuana and drug paraphernalia in their possession.
Anthony McNeal and his 6-month-old daughter of Plymouth were injured in a two vehicle accident in Marshall County Monday afternoon. After an investigation into the accident, McNeal was arrested on preliminary charges of Criminal Recklessness, Neglect of a Dependent, and Operating a Vehicle under the Influence of a Schedule I or Schedule II Controlled Substance.
Pulaski Memorial Hospital CEO Rick Mynark is retiring after a 40 plus year career in health care administration.

Stacie Brown was sentenced in Starke Circuit Court Tuesday to 50 years in prison. She pleaded guilty to a charge of Battery Resulting in Death. She caused the death of her step-son, Ethan Brown, in June of last year.

Indiana State Police officers are investigating a one-vehicle accident on Beech Road north of U.S. 30 in Bourbon. 75-year-old Louis Cady, of Nappanee, reportedly drown after his pickup went off the road and into a water-filled ditch.

The cause of the fire that injured a North Judson child is under investigation with the Indiana State Fire Marshal’s office. The fire damaged a home at 3942 W. 3rd Street in North Judson.
