Several Republican candidates filed for office yesterday in the Starke County Clerk’s Office.
Those candidates include Robert “Bob” Kolanowski, Don White, Don Johnson, Dorene Matzat and John Norem who filed for Precinct Committeeman positions. Don Johnson and Don White also filed for State Convention Delegate.
Kathy Norem filed for County Commissioner in District 1.
“I’m just finishing my first term and I don’t think we’re quite with the things that we need to bring forward in Starke County,” said Kathy Norem. “In a second term, some of the most important issues that will need to be addressed are the jail, that’s a number one priority on everybody’s mind, but the hospital issue also comes to mind. Of course that’s something very important to me, as it should be to all of the constituents in Starke County.”
Two other candidates filed this week on the Republican ticket. Jacqueline Masterson filed for State Convention Delegate and Precinct Committeeman. Michelle Wilhoit filed for State Convention Delegate.
