Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department Statistics for 2011

Pulaski County Sheriff Michael Gayer released the Department’s statistics for 2011.

The Department investigated 384 accidents which is a decrease from 2010, deputies investigated 220 car vs. deer accidents, 35 burglaries, 114 thefts, 45 drug cases, 6 child molesting cases, 8 residential entry calls and 23 battery incidents. There were 7,275 total dispatch calls in 2011.

Most of the statistics given stayed the same or increased from 2010. 954 offenders were booked into the jail in 2011 compared to 792 in 2010. The total revenue to the county General Fund was $319,375 which is down from $498,225 in 2010. The Work Release Program generated $62,676 in 2011. 11 out of 14 inmates completed and passed their GED, 28 out of 32 inmates graduated from Substance Abuse Phase 1 and 22 out of 27 completed Phase II Substance Abuse classes.

The Sheriff’s Department has a total of nine patrol deputies.
