Pulaski County CDC to Focus on Ag-Oriented Business this Year

The Pulaski County Community Development Commission is working on bringing businesses into Pulaski County this year and one focus will be attracting ag-oriented industry on the west side of the county where rail is available. Executive Director Nathan Origer says he will also keep the welding classes open for interested students.

“We have been partnering with the Extension Office, the PACE Board and local industries for a number of years to offer the welder training program,” said Origer. “We’re going to continue these classes and we’re looking into ways to improve and expand the program to keep the welders coming out and being able to go onto assembly lines as labors or into certification programs so they can go into local manufacturers as welders.”
