Pulaski County Sheriff's Department

From the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department:

Incidents:
01/29/12 The Medaryville Fire Department was called to a garage fire near a house. A large propane tank was located in between the garage and the house. The Medaryville Fire Department, along with the San Pierre Fire Department and the Francesville Fire Department arrived on scene to put out the blaze. A rekindle occurred several hours later.

01/28/12 A rollover accident was reported in the Star City area. The driver said he was not injured.

01/28/12 A slide off occurred in the Star City area behind Central Co-Op. The caller said he left his truck in the ditch with the vehicle’s flashers on. He was not injured.

01/27/12 A Star City resident reported a car vs. deer accident.

01/27/12 A two vehicle accident was reported in the Winamac area. No injuries were reported.

01/26/12 A Winamac resident reported a theft incident.

01/25/12 A Winamac resident told police that an intruder was trying to get into her house. The caller went into the house and asked the person what he was doing there and called the person by name. The intruder reportedly told police that he had come from a friend’s house and is headed back there now.

01/25/12 A Francesville business called police to report that a patron had come in and left without paying for her prescription. They are unable to get a hold of her.

01/25/12 A Winamac resident told police that she was at the bar and she went to the bathroom. When she came back, her phone was gone.

01/24/12 A Winamac resident called police to report a fire. He said that he dropped something in his living room and now it is on fire. The Winamac Fire Department was called to the scene and the fire was put out. The area was sealed off and fire crews were waiting for a representative from the Indiana State Fire Marshal’s Office to show up.

01/24/12 A Winamac resident said that he hit a car and there is considerable damage. No injuries were reported.

01/24/12 A Medaryville resident reported a break-in. An eviction notice was served and a couple of kids were found it the house. The locks had been changed so they had to have broken into the residence.

01/23/12 A resident told police that an irrigation system had been struck and damaged severely. The caller said that car parts were all over the place, but the vehicle has left the scene.

01/23/12 A two vehicle accident was reported with minor injuries.

01/29/12 Larry D. Shidler, 50, 2977 W. 314 N., Winamac, IN, arrested on a preliminary charge of Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated-Prior. Discharged 01/29/12

01/27/12 Ty Leon Willis, 34, 1951 Eric Ave., Logansport, IN, arrested on a preliminary charge of Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated. Discharged 01/28/12

01/27/12 Dakota J. Pinkerman, 19, 130 E. 700 N., Wheatfield, IN, arrested on an active arrest warrant.

01/26/12 Glen Sewell, 53, 13367 W. 55 N., Medaryville, IN, arrested on an active arrest warrant. Discharged 01/26/12

01/25/12 Charles A. Weaver, Jr., 25, 631 N. Riverside Dr., Winamac, IN, arrested on an active arrest warrant. Discharged 01/25/12

01/25/12 Larry E. Samons, 37, Highway 24, Reynolds, IN, arrested on an active arrest warrant.

Incidents:
01/27/12 Police were notified of two juveniles who broke into the Knox High School during a dance.

01/26/12 Denise Gaines reported her laptop, camera and jewelry were stolen. Her son’s wireless Xbox controllers were also missing.

Arrests:
01/24/12 A juvenile was arrested for Battery.

01/29/12 A theft was reported in the 1500 block of East 400 South in Knox.

01/28/12 A resident of the 1100 block of East 150 South in Knox told police that someone was in her home and stole a leather coat and food.

01/27/12 Robert Gonzales of Knox told police that his ex-wife has been forging letters in his name.

01/26/12 David Miller of North Judson told police that he believes someone stole his cell phone from from his vehicle.

01/26/12 Marie Kendall of North Judson reported someone had stolen her Pontiac Grand Prix from her yard.

01/25/12 Calvin Napier of North Judson reported four envelopes had been stolen from his mailbox.

01/25/12 Rick Bobo told police he was being attacked in the 6300 block of South Rannells Road in Knox.

01/24/12 Samuel Barnett of North Judson told police that someone had broken into his garage.

01/24/12 A resident of the 4900 block of South 260 West in North Judson requested to file a phone harassment complaint.

01/23/12 A telephone harassment charge was filed by Pamela Balchunas against Craig James Coad, 30, of Knox.

01/22/12 A resident of the 5100 block of North U.S. 35 in Hamlet told police that his garage had been broken into and a dirt bike and another vehicle were stolen.

01/29/12 John I. Lenig, 21, of Knox, arrested on a preliminary charge of Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated.

01/28/12 Joseph R. Wooldridge, 27, of Valparaiso, was arrested after a female caller from the Sandbar advised police she had been punched in the face by an unknown male.

01/27/12 Anthony Daniel Thews, 31, of South Bend, arrested on a preliminary charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance.

01/27/12 Danny J. Salyer, 43, of North Judson, was arrested on an active arrest warrant.

01/26/12 David S. Zachary, 40, of Hamlet, arrested on a preliminary charge of Habitual Traffic Violator.

01/25/12 Heather Renee VanDusen, 26, of Plymouth arrested on possession charges following a search warrant execution in the 10100 block of East Francis in Grovertown.
