An armed robbery incident is being investigated by the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department.
Police were called to the Bottle Stop Liquor Store on Michigan Street in Lapaz on Monday night where the employee said a man brandished a knife and demanded cash from the register. The employee was cut on a finger with the suspect’s knife. Police arrived on the scene within one minute, but the suspect had fled the scene and was not immediately found. The man had run out the front door toward the alley. An undisclosed amount of cash was stolen from the cash register.
The suspect was wearing a white or light colored ski mask with blue on top and a white long underwear, a long sleeve shirt and gloves. If you have any information on this incident, call the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department at (574) 936-3187.
