Medaryville Man Arrested after Pursuit

A Medaryville man was arrested after leading police on a pursuit in the Medaryville area on Thursday.

Billy Anthony, Jr., 26, was traveling on Maple Avenue and police saw him cross the center line a few times while traveling. The officer from the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department followed him and then stopped at a stop sign and observed the vehicle. The vehicle turned onto an intersected roadway and allegedly evaded police. The Medaryville police officer on duty and the deputy chased Anthony along 175 North.

Police noted that Anthony was going in excess of 80 mph. Police finally stopped him on 1250 West and 100 North and he was detained by police. He reportedly denied all allegations and was disorderly to police. Anthony was taken to the Pulaski County Jail. He was arrested on a preliminary charge of Aggressive Driving and Reckless Driving. He was also issued ten different citations. The case has been forwarded to the Pulaski County Prosecutor’s Office for further review.
