Two College Football Players Arrested on Drug Charges in Medaryville

Two people were arrested in Medaryville on drug charges. The pair, Trevor Forker, of New Buffalo, Michigan and Sean Martinez, of Oak Forest, Illinois, are reportedly on the college football roster at St. Joseph’s College in Rensselaer.

On Monday afternoon, Medaryville Assistant Police Chief, Sheri Gaillard, performed a traffic stop at U.S. 421 and West Street in Medaryville for a speeding violation. After officers were given consent to search the vehicle, several small baggies of marijuana were found that were packaged for resale weighing more than 30 grams. Along with the marijuana, items used to smoke the drug were also found.

Forker and Martinez were arrested on preliminary charges of Dealing in Marijuana, Possession of Marijuana, Maintaining a Common Nuisance and Possession of Paraphernalia.
