Starke Circuit Court Judge Denies Request for Special Prosecutor

Starke Circuit Court Judge Kim Hall has denied a request from Prosecutor Nicholas Bourff to appoint a special prosecutor to go forward in prosecuting Kenneth Wallace and Ryan Taylor in their upcoming court hearings.

In the request to the court, Bourff suggests that since the defendant’s father helped him in his election effort, a special prosecutor should be appointed.

Wallace and Taylor were arrested on charges of Arson in August after they were allegedly involved in setting Taylor’s mother’s vehicle on fire in the Monterey area. They have plead not guilty in Starke Circuit Court to the charge of Arson.
