Pulaski County Sheriff's Department

Incidents:
09/05/11 A resident in the Star City area reported that her garage door was accidentally left open and a 4-wheeler and other items were stolen.

09/05/11 A Monon resident reported that he has an older truck on his property and some unknown subject(s) beat out all of the windows and headlights and they slashed the tires. No trespassing signs had been posted.

09/03/11 A Winamac resident reported the theft of a bicycle. It is a navy blue Trek B12 mountain bike.

09/03/11 Winamac firefighters were called to a barn fire.

09/02/11 A Francesville resident called police to report that she pushed her vacuum cleaner outside to clean out her camper and left it outside while she walked her daughter from the area. When she returned, it was gone. Police spoke to the suspect who advised police that he thought she was throwing it out as it was sitting on the curb. It was returned to the owner.

09/02/11 A Beaver Township resident reported the theft of her daughter’s cell phone.

09/02/11 A Medaryville resident reported the theft of a lawn mower, air compressor, power saw and other items from his garage.

09/01/11 A caller reported missing golf clubs in a pink girls golf bag.

09/01/11 A resident in the Denham area reported the theft of an irrigation system from behind his residence.

08/31/11 A Winamac resident reported the theft of a video system and phone charger from a vehicle. The vehicle was parked in the complaintant’s driveway.

08/31/11 A Cass Township resident reported the theft of a mailbox.

08/31/11 A Cass Township resident reported the theft of a lawn mower.

08/31/11 A Medaryville resident called police to report that he went to the gas station to get some gas and while he was gone, some unknown person(s) stole his lawn mower and weed trimmer.

08/31/11 A Medaryville resident told police that someone just stole her nine week old Pit Bull puppy mix. The animal was later returned.

09/04/11 Michael Watson, 45, 4076 S. Portedward Dr., Winamac, IN, arrested on a preliminary charge of Public Intoxication. Discharged 09/05/11

09/04/11 Pamela Larson, 48, 7080 E. 250 S., North Judson, IN, arrested on a preliminary charge of Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated -Prior.

08/29/11 David Davis, 39, 6558 S. 400 W., Kewanna, IN, arrested on a small claims warrant. Discharged 08/29/11

From the North Judson Police Department:

Incidents:
09/03/11 A vandalism report was taken by North Judson Police for two vehicles being scratched or keyed in the 300 block of Main Street.

09/03/11 North Judson Police were advised of a traffic accident at the curve of Main Street and N. Oakwood Avenue. North Judson Officer Bill Scheiderer investigated the incident and set damages at over $1,000.00. Timothy Rudd of North Judson was driving a 2005 Ford Taurus and stated an animal was in the roadway as he was making the turn onto Oakwood and he swerved and struck a wooden fence on the east side of the roadway. Rudd was ticketed for a Driving while Suspended infraction and the vehicle was impounded.

09/02/11 A report of theft of gasoline being siphoned from parked vehicles in the 100 East Block of Talmer Avenue in North Judson was taken by North Judson Police.

08/30/11 North Judson Police responded to a report of a shooting in the 400 block of High Street. After a complete investigation, it was determined the call was a self inflicted gunshot wound. A male subject was transported to the hospital.

08/24/11 Danny Manns Jr., 35, 3030 S. US #35, Knox, IN, arrested on preliminary charges of Motor Vehicle Theft, Possession of Stolen Property, Criminal Mischief over $250.00 and Trespassing.

From the Knox City Police Department:

Incidents:
09/02/11 It was reported to police that some unknown person broke out the window to Terry Turner’s vehicle on Main Street. Turner told police that a camera was stolen and damage was done to the vehicle. Another vehicle parked on Main Street was broken into and it belonged to Eric Campbell. The driver’s side window was broken and the back window was hanging from its seal.

08/30/11 Kim Wilson reported that some unknown person(s) slashed the front passenger window (which was plastic) and the rear window to her Jeep. Below the window on the Jeep’s frame was a foot long scratch into the paint.

09/05/11 Timothy Armes, 34, 701 E. Danker St., Knox, IN, arrested on preliminary charges of Public Intoxication and Resisting Law Enforcement.

09/05/11 Chelsea Schuchardt, 21, 1255 E. 150 S., Knox, IN, arrested on preliminary charges of Resisting Law Enforcement and Possession of Methamphetamine. She was also taken to jail on an active arrest warrant.

09/04/11 Eric E. Amor, 33, 307 W. Bozarth, Knox, IN, arrested on a preliminary charge of Domestic Battery and Disorderly Conduct.

09/04/11 Cody Foust, 20, 3375 E. S. Country Lane, Knox, IN, arrested on a preliminary charge of Illegal Possession.

09/03/11 Jeffrey Osborne, 44, 504 E. St. Louis St., Knox, IN, arrested on a preliminary charge of Public Intoxication.

09/02/11 Melinda S. Catt, 40, 7945 W. 700 S., Winamac, IN,arrested on a preliminary charge of Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated – Prior, Operating a Vehicle with a BAC of at least .15%.

09/01/11 Cheryl Hughes, 42, 116 ½ Madison St., Winamac, IN, arrested on preliminary charges of Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated and Possession of a Controlled Substance.

08/30/11 Daniel B. Berg II, 20, 805 E. John St., Knox, IN, arrested on preliminary charges of Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated and Operating a Vehicle with a BAC of at least .15%.
Jonathan Landrum, 21, 701 E. Lake St., Knox, IN, arrested on a preliminary charge of Furnishing Alcohol to a Minor (two counts).
Howard Bailey III, 20, 1260 S. 250 E., Knox, IN, arrested on a preliminary charge of Illegal Possession of Alcohol.

Incidents:
09/05/11 A resident in the 1300 block of W. Toto Road in North Judson reported that the residence just west of her is abandoned and there are two subjects in the back burning something.

09/04/11 The Bass Lake Fire Department was called to a garage fire at 5200 S. S. of State Road 10 in Knox.

09/04/11 A resident in the 11500 block of E. Division Road in Knox reported that everything in his house has been taken.

09/03/11 Greg Powell called to report his neighbor’s grill is on fire and it tipped over into the grass.

09/03/11 A resident in the 8900 block of S. Sycamore in Monterey told police that his Playstation 3 was stolen from his residence and Fulton Countypolice has recovered it. An officer from Fulton County said that he needs to file a report in Starke County in order to release the Playstation back to him.

09/02/11 A resident in the 7000 block of S. US 35 in Knox said that his friend was accidentally shot in the leg.

09/01/11 A resident in the 11900 block of E. Pink Ridge Lane in Walkerton told police that someone dropped off a moped at his residence and doesn’t know who it belongs to.

09/01/11 Justin Skinner of Walkerton reported the theft of his motorcycle.

08/31/11 A car fire was called in at the intersection of Delaware and Fisher Streets in Knox. The Knox -Center Township Fire Department was called to the scene.

08/31/11 The Hamlet Fire Department was called to an equipment fire between 300 and 400 North in Knox.

08/31/11 A resident in the 200 block of E. 625 S. in Knox reported that someone broke into his shed and stole his son’s 4-wheeler and tools.

08/31/11 An employee at the Zingo Express reported the theft of $89.23 worth of gas.

09/04/11 Joshua Michael Zazzara, 18, of Knox, IN arrested on a preliminary charge of Illegal Possession.

09/03/11 George L. Ono, 58, of North Judson, IN, arrested on a preliminary charge of Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated.

09/02/11 Dennis Eugene Koons, 49, of Greenwood, IN, arrested on a preliminary charge of Operating Vehicle While Intoxicated.

Accidents:
09/01/11 Robert E. Rayburn of Knox was injured when he left the road on US 35 near 900 South and hit a tree and then a house. Rayburn told police that he felt dizzy and thought he was hitting the brakes but he was hitting the gas. He hit a house at 8920 S. US 35. There were no other injuries reported.
