LaPorte resident, Mitch Feikes, recently announced his candidacy in the race for Indiana’s Second Congressional seat on the Republican ticket. He will face Republican Jackie Walorski in the Primary Election.
Sam Frain, Second District Republican Chairman, said the Republican party is a little concerned about his candidacy as a Republican.
“I know little about Mr. Feikes, but people in the Republican Party have contacted me regarding his interest in race,” said Frain. “In doing some research, we’ve discovered that Mr. Feikes has a history of regular voting in the Democratic Primary as recently as 2006 and 2008. We are concerned whether Mr. Feikes is actually a Republican or Democrat at this point.”
