Vaccination Policy Changes Begin July 1st at Pulaski County Health Department

Beginning Friday, July 1st, the Pulaski County Health Department will no longer be able to give vaccinations to children with insurance that covers vaccines. These children will need to be taken to their health care provider for immunizations.

The eligibility of children to receive vaccinations at all local health departments in the State of Indiana will change.

Children with no insurance or with insurance that does not cover vaccines will be eligible to receive immunizations for the administrative cost at the Pulaski County Health Department. The administrative cost is $8.00 for vaccines. Parents will be responsible to check with their insurance company in advance to see if vaccines are covered in their policies. Medicaid will now be billed and no out-of-pocket expense will be charged to children enrolled in Medicaid programs.

The Pulaski County Health Department’s shot clinic days are Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 8:00 a.m. to Noon and from 1:00-4:00 p.m. ET.
