Incidents:

06/18/11  A home in the 300 Block of W. Weninger Street was broken into with a few items missing and some copper stolen as well. The North Judson Police are investigating this incident.

06/16/11  A report was made with the North Judson Police for an IPOD Touch, with a blue back, lost and believed stolen from the Town Park. Anyone with information or who may have found the IPOD is asked to contact the police at (574) 896-5914.

Arrests:

06/19/11  Jason D. Hansen, 30, 2335 W. Toto Road, North Judson, IN, arrested for a Failure to Appear Check Deception Warrant through Pulaski County.

06/18/11 Juan Martinez, 22, 6551 N 1150 West, North Judson, IN, arrested for Operator Never Licensed and False and Fictitious Plates.

06/16/11  David P. Howard, 28, 5406 S. A Street, North Judson, IN, arrested for a Probation Violation through Starke Circuit.

06/13/11 Jame H. Hayes, 41, 606 Market St., Winamac, IN, arrested on a Failure to Appear aarrant through Starke County Circuit Court.

Incidents:

06/19/11 A Medaryville resident reported the theft of a water heater.

06/19/11 An accidental shooting occurred in Beaver Township. Caller said his girlfriend got shot with a .22 in her upper left collar bone. A witness advised that that a male was shooting chipmunks and the victim was going to get a kitten she was playing with and didn’t realize he was getting ready to shoot the gun and he fired the weapon. It was reported and handled as a freak accident.

06/18/11 A Medaryville resident reported the theft of farm equipment, metal off of buildings and rolls of wire.

06/17/11 A Winamac resident reported the theft of copper wire from one of his properties.

06/17/11 A Winamac resident told police that she was outside working in her yard when some unknown person(s) got into her car and purse and took all of her pain medication.

06/17/11 A Medaryville resident requested an officer. Some unknown person(s) stole two freezers from her property.

06/17/11 A resident on old State Road 14 called police to report that someone just ran their car into his yard. The driver stated she wasn’t paying attention and went around the corner and crashed into a parked car. No injuries were reported.

06/17/11 Caller reported the theft of scrap metal from a residence in Winamac.

06/17/11 A Winamac resident called police to report that some unknown subject(s) have let all the water out of her pool again.

06/16/11 Arby’s reported money stolen from the business.  The business is conducting an internal investigation.

06/16/11 A Francesville resident reported the theft of medications from a vehicle while parked at IGA in Francesville.

06/16/11 A Medaryville resident reported the theft of medications from his vehicle that was parked at the gas station.

06/13/11 A Medaryville resident told police that he is on pain medication and his pills were stolen out of his vehicle.

06/13/11 Kenneth Hopkins, 22, 15489 W. 450 N., Medaryville, IN, arrested on an active arrest warrant.

From the Hamlet Police Department:

Incidents:
06/16/11 Officers were dispatched to a possible intoxicated subject that was not wanted at the Hamlet Trailer Park.

06/15/11 Officers were dispatched to a property dispute between two neighbors.

06/12/11 Officers were called to a domestic complaint in regards to an intoxicated individual.

Incidents:
06/19/11 Linda Sweet and William Spencer reported that some unknown person(s) broke into their home, ransacked it and stole items. According to William, the back door was forced open and Snap-on tools were stolen along with a flat screen tv, clothes, and jewelry.

06/15/11 Mary Shepherd reported her purse stolen from her vehicle.

06/15/11 Bob Cole reported the theft of a portable fire radio from his vehicle. The unknown suspect(s) attempted to remove this GPS system but failed.

06/15/11 Zachary Craig reported that a GPS unit, two cell phone chargers and a pair of Under Armor football gloves were stolen from his vehicle.

06/15/11 Vonda Butler called police to report that satellite radios were stolen from her husband’s vehicle and her vehicle.

–Four vehicles were broken into the night of June 14th. If anyone knows anything about these incidents, call the Knox City Police Department and leave an anonymous tip. Call (574) 772-4122 and select option 3.

06/14/11 Scott Ward, who works for NIPSCO, reported a meter missing off the side of a residence. Ward told police that he was at the residence on Locust Drive on June 1st and had shut off the electric to the residence. He put a lock on the meter and now the lock and the meter are gone.

06/13/11 Crystal Fisher reported the theft of a moped and a push lawnmower.

06/19/11 David Warren, 26, 10775 E. 50 N., Knox, IN, arrested on preliminary charges of Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated and Operating a Vehicle with at least a .15% BAC.

06/19/11 Dwayne T. Roe, 44, 7295 N. 700 E., Hamlet, IN, arrested on a preliminary charge of Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated.

06/18/11 Anthony Clemons, 49, 2240 N. US 35, Knox, IN, arrested on a preliminary charge of Intimidation.

06/18/11 Jason Sands, 35, 507 S. East St., Knox, IN, arrested on preliminary charges of Public Intoxication and Disorderly Conduct. He also had an active arrest warrant.

06/19/11 A resident in the 6300 block of E. Lake Street in Knox reported that his summer cottage has been broken into. The caller did not see anything missing.

06/19/11 Jollie Howard told police that someone broke into the trailer he was working on in North Judson and stole all of his tools.

06/18/11 A resident in the 2100 block of W. Country Lanes S. in Knox reported the theft of items from his residence.

06/18/11 A resident in the 7600 block of S. 700 E. in Monterey reported the theft of a license plate.

06/17/11 A resident in the 4000 block of S. Woodland Rd. in Knox reported that some unknown person(s) slashed the screen on her porch and then stole a 30 or 40 pound cement duck.

06/14/11 A Monterey resident reported the theft of a horse.

06/14/11 A resident in the 3400 block of E. Country Lane S. in Knox reported that some unknown subject(s) siphoned gas out of her vehicle.

06/14/11 Brandon Breammer reported the theft of two weapons and two computers from his father’s house. A large flat screen TV, a computer printer and some external stereo speakers were displaced. They were sitting near a door in the garage.

06/13/11 Doug Klausen of Knox told police that two of his brother-in-law’s axles are missing from his pole barn. He also reported that 200+ feet of copper wire was missing.

06/19/11 Dustin Hodges, 20, Crown Point, IN, arrested on a preliminary charge of Reckless Driving.

06/18/11 Thomas Wayne Norem, 53, of Knox, IN, arrested on a preliminary charge of Theft.

06/17/11 John Minix, 48, of Knox, IN, arrested on a preliminary charge of Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated.

06/15/11 Mindy Hendricks, 43, of Walkerton, IN, arrested on preliminary charges of Disorderly Conduct and Public Intoxication.

06/14/11 Allen Krock, 37, of North Judson, IN, arrested on a preliminary charge of Battery with Serious Bodily Injury.

Accidents:
06/13/11 Richard Fritz of Elwood, Illinois, told police that he was traveling eastbound on US 30 near 900 East when a deer ran out from the south to the north in front of him. Fritz stated that he swerved to avoid striking the deer and when he did, the trailer that he was pulling started to slide, causing him to lose control. Fritz went off the roadway on the south side of the road and the trailer flipped over, coming loose from his vehicle. The boat that was on the trailer flipped off the trailer landing on its top.
