News from the Hamlet Town Board

The Hamlet Town Board members approved next year’s salary ordinance at their meeting Tuesday night. The salary ordinance has not changed in three years. The employees have not been given a raise in three years.

The Board also approved the water and sewer budgets for 2011. The water budget was approved at $107,267 and the sewer budget was approved at $165,247. Operating supplies, some pay, taxes and permits are among the expenditures taken from these budgets.

The Board opened bids for the storm sewer project. 13 bids were received and taken under advisement. The engineer and the Hamlet Board Attorney will review the bids to make sure all specs are listed. The winning bid will be announced during the next Board meeting on Tuesday, December 21st.
